With education serving as the nucleus of Ifill Event’s non-profit endeavors, the Christodora “Campfire” autumn gala has become a treasured cornerstone of our calendar year. Christodora serves over 2,500 New York City students annually, requiring fund raising efforts to sustain their programs and student opportunities. For the past four years, Ifill Events has governed the successful autumn gala, which includes cocktails, silent and live auctions, student awards, dinner, dessert and (new to this year) dancing!
This year, the festivities took place at The University Club in New York City. The beauty of the historical Renaissance Revival architecture was an added delight while perusing the glamorous auction items and packages. Highlights included a blissful Vienna and Budapest combination trip, a kitchen tour and dinner for four at the treasured Gramercy Tavern in New York City, and two much sought-after house seats to “Hamilton” in Chicago paired with two roundtrip JetBlue tickets to get you there!
Among the many contributors and donors were Bregal, HBO, Select Equity, Shearman & Sterling, and Con Edison. Sotheby’s Vice-Chairman, C.Hugh Hildesley lent his charm to the charismatic live auction which included sponsorship of roundtrip bus trips for nearly 900 students! The student and alumni awards served as inspirational testament of the good work being done by the Christodora community and its supporters.
